Scope 3 reporting
Scope 3 emissions data you can explain and defend, for your customers, lenders and reports.
Who it is for
Suppliers being asked for emissions data by larger customers, and firms preparing for UK sustainability reporting.
What it includes
- Working out which Scope 3 categories matter for your business
- Gathering supplier and activity data, and scoring how good it is
- Calculations using recognised methods and emission factors, with the sources recorded
- Preparation for UK Sustainability Reporting Standards
- Dashboards and exports for customer questionnaires and your own reports
What it does not include
- Independent assurance. That needs a separate assurance provider
- Offsetting or green claims we cannot support with evidence
How it works
Tell us what slows you down
A short call or a message is enough. We ask how the work happens today and what keeps going wrong.
Screen the categories
We estimate which categories matter most, so effort goes where the emissions and the questions actually are.
Improve the data
We replace rough estimates with supplier data where it matters, and record how reliable each number is.
Report and repeat
You get numbers you can explain, plus a repeatable process for next year.
Questions we get asked
Do we have to report Scope 3?
That depends on your size and sector, and on what your customers and lenders ask for. Our article on UK Scope 3 rules sets out the current position.
We have no supplier data. Can we still start?
Yes. Most firms begin with spend-based estimates, then improve the categories that matter. The important thing is to be open about which is which.
Will you assure our numbers?
No. We prepare the data and the method. Independent assurance has to come from a separate provider.
